New messages small window problem

Problem 1 - The new messages window can’t be resized, so you only get a very small window in the centre of the screen. This also prevents you looking at any attached images full size.

Problem 2 - There is no longer any option to edit a message.

So while the new interface is attractive to look at, it adds no new functionality and worse, removes a whole heap of functionality it had before the update.
