I’ve been using Microsoft Edge successfully for several months, but over the past 2–3 weeks I’ve encountered recurring issues with downloads. Specifically:
After the countdown sequence completes, the download does not initiate.
There’s often a noticeable delay in loading the webpage before the Download button becomes accessible.
To troubleshoot, I tested the same downloads using Chrome v140 and experienced no issues—downloads started immediately, and pages loaded without delay.
I’d appreciate any guidance on resolving this within Edge, as I’d prefer to continue using it as my primary browser.
